Q: Does it have to be a new novel, or can I continue a novel?
A: If you want to finish a novel you've already started, great! Just write 50,000 more words in July.

Q: When does JulNoWriMo begin and end?
A: It begins promptly at midnight on July 1st (your local time). Your fingers can start pounding on the keys any time after that. JulNoWriMo ends on August 1st at midnight, so your last real day to write is the 31st. This is an advantage over NaNoWriMo because you get one extra day!

Q: Do I verify my word count somewhere?
A: As of right now, we trust you if you say that you won. We haven't been too successful in finding a word counter that was fairly accurate. Besides, if you try to cheat, the only person you're hurting is yourself.

Just please be sure to post your final word counts to your profile on the forums by around the second week of August, as this is when word counts are generally locked until next year.
