New Regular challenge

Llewellyn McEllis and I were discussing how ideas for stories are generated. One of the things that came up was the idea of the online story generator. Llew had played with one of these before and found it the source of great fun and the chance to stretch those writing muscles. So, we decided to offer a regular challenge here on Crones to write a story from an idea generated by an online story generator.

The idea is for these to be short. Make them as serious or as light hearted as you like. You can post them here or you can post them in the archive if you're happy with the result. But be sure to stop by here and let us know so we can check them out.

The first challenge:

The story is about a construction worker, a weak ambassador, a biologist, and a plain media technician who hates a bloodthirsty archer. It starts in a camp in a town. The critical element of the story is a murder.

When you say short, how many words approx, were you thinking of?

And for the jobs you stated, how loosely can we translate these? I have an idea but it's not necessarily modern timeline!

It can be as long as YOU want dear. The goal is really just to get imaginations rolling. It'll also be interesting to see what turns out if different people work on the same challenges.

Challenge Two:

The theme of this story: epic revenge. The main character is a philosophical mentor. The start of the story: treason.
